This is the most expensive place in Navanakorn and the quality of accommodation is poor value for $$$. The owner, K. El is greedy, unreasonable, selfish and lack of any common sense. The positive is that she is hardly there. I stayed at Aomsin apartment for several months, because this was the nearest accommodation to my factory at Navanakorn. Weekends and holidays I travelled, so few days a week was bearable. Problems I have encountered during my stay: Water heater broke – owner wanted me to pay for repairs or for a new one. I refused. After few weeks the owner fixed it. Air conditioning broke – owner wanted me to pay for repairs – 2500baht. I refused and bought a fan. After sometime the owner fixed it. Surely she recognized after a while that they are making less profit on me, if I use fan instead of AC, because I pay for less electric unit at the end of the month. (8 baht per unit is high). Water charges are similarly high. Even if I use less water, there is a minimum charge, which is always more than I used. They advertise for free wireless internet, but the internet rarely works. Slow and constant disconnection. They advertise for cable and satellite TV, but only offer few Thai channels. I got my own UBC, but the owner charged me 2000 baht for 4 screw holes UBC made when installed my dish. Highway robbery. If you live on 4th or 5th floor, there is constant water pressure problem. The water pressure is so weak that the electric water heater does not even start and is difficult to even shower. Sink and toilet got clogged several times. I bought drain opener to open drain up. Lift was out of order multiple times during my stay. The parking lot had dead animals, dog, and rats several times. Had to ask staff to clean it up after several days, when the stench was unbearable. Soi dogs and cats also regularly come to the covered parking lot to give birth to puppies/kittens. On the second floor, a brothel operates. Aroma Spa girls lack massage skills, so they offer sex instead of. Not pretty sight at all. During the 2011 flooding the building was unlivable from mid October to mid-December. The owner, K El had insurance for flooding and business interruption, yet still deducted rental from security deposit for that period. Thief. There is no security person for the building. Only keycard and some cameras, which rarely work. Next to the building is a factory, which is noisy at night time. Cannot really open the windows or balcony door as people always burning something in the area. The building itself located at a dead end street. It is not far from BigC, about 200meters, however the tenant has to walk next to some slum houses and a bus parking area. This is not recommended for females. In overall, this was the worst place I have lived in Thailand the past 6 years. The owner K. El is a disgrace. A liar. She does not care about tenants. It seems the rooms are just for cover, as the brothel on the second floor makes the real money. If you want to overpay for substandard accommodation and lose your security deposit do stay here, after all she needs to fund her BMW.
